Buona Pasqua

Happy Easter

Good morning. It is going to be beautiful day today. The sun is shining, and the sky is blue. We got up and got dressed for church. Mass as at Gran Madre at 09:00. The church was beautiful, and mass was fairly short because there is another one at 10:00.

After mass we walked back to Serra’s and helped get things ready for Easter lunch. Pietro’s father, stepmother, step-brother Matteo, sister Maria, and cousins from Switzerland will be here. Twelve of us for dinner.

Mary helped Maria and Luisa decorate the Easter Bunny cake, while I worked on getting the lamb and potatoes ready for the oven. Lunch is at 14:00. Serra and Pietro put out the antipasti and prepared the vegetables for cooking.

Everyone had arrived by 13:00, except for Matteo who arrived about 13:30. We sat down and had a lovely dinner. We left about 17:00 and headed back to the apartment. We played some cards before heading off to bed.

It was a lovely Easter Sunday.
