Cruising the Tasman Sea
Day 54 for those keeping track.
Buongiorno, again we had rough seas at night, but this morning things calmed down shortly after daybreak. Not calm but not so rough that it was impossible to walk around the ship. We woke up late and just barely made it to breakfast in La Veranda, apparently our restaurant of choice on board, by the 9:30 closing time. That is what happens when you stay up late.
We went to the morning lecture on Australia. After the lecture we grabbed a quick bit in the Coffee Connection before returning to the room. I worked on my blog for a while and Mary listened to her book. After which I took a nice long nap. It is just impossible to stay up late, even when the ship helps by changing the time back another hour. But really, two days in a row? I would like to point out that Mary was napping when I woke up.
After my nap we headed down to the card room to play canasta with Stuart and Chrissy. We played Serra style this time. The outcome was still one game to one. They wanted to play with four decks because they thought it would speed up the game. Not sure it really did that.
We met in the Mariner Lounge outside of Prime 7 at 6:30 for a cocktail. We had reservations at Prime 7 for dinner. The wind and rain picked up after dinner, and the seas would be moderately rough all night. Stuart and I were dismissed for our cigars and port. The ladies went for a drink.
Stayed out way to late again. Not a real busy day, but nice and relaxing. Buonanotte e Ciao, Harry
