Cruising the Caribbean Sea
Somewhere between Haiti and Colombia
Looking at google maps we are in the big blue patch between Haiti and Columbia. Last night the rocking of the boat was enjoyable. In fact, it helped bring along sleep. However, the heavy seas continued after day light and all day long. Mary was having trouble with the rock n’rolling last night.
Breakfast arrived at 6:45, not that anyone cared. The steward was in and out of the room in five minutes. Thinking it would be a good idea to eat something, I ate the oatmeal. A few minutes later I was back snug in bed. Mary tried to eat an english muffin, but it did settle or stay with her long.
At noon they came and removed the dishes. The mid-day announcements were that most events were cancelled due to the rough seas. The butler brought by some ginger to eat to help with the nausea. It simply put both of us back to sleep. As long as one doesn’t move about, it seems ok.
We are supposed to have dinner tonight in the Chartreuse Dining Room. There are serious doubts that is going to happen.
Cousin Peggy sent an article saying Falk, the town, has been placed on the National Register of Historical Places. Thank you, Peggy.
The rock n’roll has continued all day and into the night. The Butler finally gave us some sea sickness medication which helped a lot. We were able to get a little soup delivered to our suite. We were able to get it down and keep it there. The medication’s side effect was to make us sleep.
So basically, this whole day has been spent in bed. Hopefully this isn’t a sign of what is to come. We are too many days at sea if it is.
Buonanotte, Ciao Enrico
