Good morning. Put on the winter underwear. The low today was 4° C but it did get up to 16° C. That is 39° F going to a high 60° F. Which really isn’t so bad, except when you leave the 23° C apartment and first walk outside. The wind isn’t howling but it is windy.

Unfortunately the classrooms are either hot or cold. Today, at least my rooom, is cold. Being a half full guy, the cold keeps you awake! Lunch as at Osteria Boccon Del Prete on Via S. Pietro, No. 17. It is on our route to and from school.

We weren’t feeling overly hungry so we skipped the antipasto and the prima piatto, and went right to secondo. In this case we ordered the Costata di Fassona Piemontese “Scaglia”, basically a rib eye steak, with roasted potatoes, and two glasses of house wine. He made no effort to even ask how we wanted it cooked. We don;t think they will cook it any way but one way anyway.

It was the perfect lunch. Just enough food without being too much. After that it was back to the apartment and out homework. We did Mary’s homework together. Her class is much easier than mine. After that we played some cards, went for a walk, bought a few things of dinner and came back to the apartment.

Not anything else to report. A nice relaxing day in the life of students in Siena. Ok, the young ones go out and party, but we’re old.
