Torino, Piemonte, Italia
Sick Day. Slept 11 plus hours last night. Managed to get up enough strength to go downstairs and have some fruit, a brioche and a cappuccino. Felt awful. Mary left for Serra’s about 08:30. She is on duty from 09:00 until 12:00 while Serra and Pietro go for a meeting at Amadea’s school.
The doctor came to Serra’s at 10:00 and checked out Luisa. Luisa has tonsillitis. So, apparently whatever I have wasn’t something Luisa shared with me. I went back to bed at 10:00 and slept another three and a half hours, until Mary returned about 13:30.
Got up, was feeling a little better. We went downstairs to the hotel bar and shared a toast. Play a game of cards and came back upstairs. Mary went down for a nap about 14:30 and start feeder until after it has gone 17:00.
I spent the time standing the internet for information about getting married in Roma. There is a lot of conflicting information and a lot of people who want to profit from that. However, I think I found a set of rules for applying that make sense. I put it all in a email and forwarded to Harry V.
At 19:00 we headed back downstairs to the Bar. Mary had some little sandwiches which are part of the aperitivo, which came with the Aperol Spritz. I chose to have the microwaved risotto and asparagus. It was eatable but only by a little bit. We play another game of cards and then returned upstairs.
Housekeeping came by just as we returned to do the turndown service. So we went up the the 5th floor to the panoramic viewing area. Here were nice views of the city. We enjoyed those and then went back to our room.

Here you the Torre Campanaria del Duono di Torino, the spire of the Duomo and to the left the Palazzo Reale di Torino

Basilica of Saints Maurice and Lazarus

Here you can see the Porta Palatina and the Parco Archeologico. The old Roman wall is quite stunning.

The view looking down from the 5th floor into the lobby of the hotel.
This is all for today. 1,400 steps. Spent the day getting better. Tomorrow, we leave for Milano and then Barcelona.
Buonanotte e Ciao
Enrico e Maria
