Vancouver, BC > Sonoma, CA

It to close out this trip and get back to Sonoma, so we can start the next one. Our flight to San Francisco leaves just past 15:00. Economy Class for the nearly three-hour flight. Shouldn’t be a big deal

Check out is at 11:00 so there is no hurry to get going. It is about 15km to the airport from the hotel. It should take nor more than a half hour. Alex will be picking us up at SFO so it will be a straight ride back to Sonoma.

The more is spent enjoying our Starbucks drinks and food. I work a little on my blog. We pack things up and head down to the lobby just before it goes 11:00. Check out and head out the door to one of the waiting taxis in front of the hotel.

Climb into the taxi and head out to cross Granville Island to get to the airport. It takes about a half-hour to get to the airport. We have prepaid for the extra bags; we are checking four this time and taking less carry-on. It was a breeze to print our luggage tags and drop the bags.

Off to customs and immigration. Again, no issues or problems. Then through security as quick as a hot knife through butter. We stopped at one of the airport restaurants and grabbed a quick lunch.

Now no to the gate to wait for the boarding call. The plane loading is easy now with the cane and grey hair. We can always get pre boarding. One board the plan I quickly fall asleep. Hey, it is nap time!

We land on time in San Francisco. Collect our bags and head to the curb. Mary said to go the departures level but I insisted it was arrivals. After his arrival at arrivals, he did confirm that Mary was right. Next time I’ll know better.

We got back to Sonoma just before it had gone 19:00. We put the bags down in the cottage and headed off to the market for a few things to get us to breakfast. We can back and unpacked a little, then headed to bed.
