Torino, Italia
You should be bored to death by now. The routine is roughly the same every day. Today is a little different, but not by much. Mary got to sleep until 08:00 before Luisa couldn’t help herself but wake her up. Tiziana got the girls dressed and ready for the day.
Luisa and shared some scrambled eggs for breakfast. After Mary was up, I went to the store to get the last few things we need for dinner. I did some research online for a recipe for pork loin and found one I think I have used before with apricot jam glaze.
Tiziana left about 13:30. Mary got a text from Serra that their plane should land at 13:30 and they should be home by 14:30; like that is going to happen. I took the large suitcase and met the landlord at the apartment at 15:00. Just dropped the suitcase after looking at the apartment and headed back to Serra’s.
Malpensa is an hour away and they will have to wait for their bags. Amadea was a little fussy, she really needed a nap but just wouldn’t go down quietly. So, I put her into the stroller and took her for a walk. I also took some of the bags of things for the apartment over and put them in the bottom of the stroller and took them over to the apartment. Two birds with one stone thing.
Actually, more like three birds, Amadea did fall asleep. She didn’t do it until we were already headed back to Serra’s, but she did nap for the last twenty minutes or so of the walk back. Once we got back the nap was over, but it was time for a bottle. I left Amadea with Mary and went into the kitchen to work on getting dinner ready.
14:30, 15:30 and it was approaching 16:30. We did get a text saying that one of the suitcases didn’t arrive. They were waiting for it. They did finally leave and head home. They arrive abut 17:15.
I was in the kitchen getting the last of dinner ready, setting the table and organizing dinner. We ate at a little past 18:30. The pork roast was very good. Roasted potatoes, asparagus, both roasted and boiled, roasted peppers, cauliflower and bread. A really good dinner.
We cleaned up after dinner and headed back to our apartment. It has been a long day. Lots and lots of steps. We’ll sleep good tonight after a little Vicodin to quell the pain from three or four days of lots of walking.
Got back to the apartment and unpacked and settled in. Except for the three steps down into the apartment from the front door, it may be the best place yet here in Torino. Three rooms, bedroom, kitchen, living and dinning room in one, and the bathroom. Well laid out.
Buonanotte e ciao, Enrico e Maria
