Kansas City, MO

Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The only thing on the plan for today is Nonna taking Grace to Sephora after lunch for some shopping. Nonna and I concentrated on our packing. Deciding what to leave in Kansas City and what to take to Chile and Antarctica.

The first leg of the trip, from Kansas City to Santiago, Chile isn’t an issue. We could take three twenty-three kilo bags (50 pounds each). However, the flight from Santiago to Porto Williams, where we board the cruise ship, limited us to one twenty-three kilo bag and one 8 kilo bag. Not difficult to do but need to make sure we can distribute the weight accordingly.

We spent most of the day working on our packing. Perhaps a little napping and playing cards. We were supposed to join the Smith’s for sausage rolls for dinner but decided not to. Tomorrow will be a long day and then we leave for the cruise on Friday.

We had a light dinner at Winstead’s, worked a little on packing, played a game of cards, and called it a night.
